A sliding door should open with one hand and very little effort. If you are putting your shoulder into it, one of these is almost always the reason.
1. Dirt in the track
The easiest fix. Vacuum, wash and dry the track, then use a little dry silicone.
2. The panel has sagged
Over time the rollers settle and the bottom of the panel rubs. Raising the rollers with the adjustment screws often fixes it.
3. Worn or rusted rollers
Wheels go flat, crack, or rust solid. If cleaning and adjusting do not help, this is the likely cause, and the rollers need replacing.
4. A damaged track
Dents from furniture or a groove worn by bad rollers make the door bump at the same spot. A track cap or rail repair fixes it.
5. Frame or house movement
Less common. If the frame is out of square, the panel binds no matter what. That needs a professional look.
